New Way to Recycle Electronics and Textiles in Newtown Township

Newtown Recycles Symbol

Properly disposing of electronic and textile waste can be difficult.  While always encouraging donation of usable electronics and usable clothing and other textiles, Newtown Township has been pleased to offer electronic collection events for the past several years.  However, a 12-month partnership between Newtown Township and "Curb my Clutter" should make the collection of non-donated electronics and clothing for recycling a lot easier for our residents.

"Curb my Clutter" is a text-based service that once scheduled will come to your door and collect / responsibly dispose of electronic (and textile) waste that would not otherwise be donated.  All you need do is text the word "pickup" to 610-TEXT-CMC (610-839-8262), set up your personal account so they can get some details of the materials to be collected and schedule a time for them to be taken away.  They come right to your door when you have the materials prepared.  Other than TV's and microwaves, there is NO COST for the collection of your items (TV's and microwaves do have a cost due to the expense of disposing of them in accordance with environmental laws).  Please follow the link below for full information, instructions, materials accepted and FAQ's:
