[ARCHIVED] AQUA Work on Route 252 in Easttown Township

Newtown Township has been aware of the traffic congestion this past month on Route 252 in Easttown Township which has spilled into Newtown Township in the White Horse Road area.  We have located the following information on PennDOT's website:  


Aqua Pennsylvania Utility Improvement Scheduled Weekdays on Route 252 (Darby Paoli Road) in Easttown Township


King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Aqua Pennsylvania will begin water main construction on Route 252 (Darby Paoli Road) in Easttown Township, Chester County, beginning Friday, August 25.  

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
  • Friday, August 25, through Friday, November 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 252 (Darby Paoli Road) between Buttonwood Road and Prescott Road. 
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Aqua Pennsylvania will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
