Recycling Collection in Zone #2 Will Be COMPLETED on Friday

Newtown Township Recycling Cart 2

Newtown Township was notified that JP Mascaro & Sons is continuing to deal with the aftermath of flooding at their facility in Bridgeport and was unable to dispatch all of their fleet to collect residential recycling in Newtown Township today.

They will be collecting recycling in Zone #2 today but expect to complete collections tomorrow (FRIDAY), September 10, 2021.

The areas they believe they cannot get to by this evening and will collect tomorrow (Friday) are streets along Goshen Road, Earles Lane and portions of Upper St. Albans.  The specific streets identified by them for likely collection on Friday are:

  • Goshen Road (between 252 and Malin)
  • Earles Lane (between Goshen and French)
  • Newtown Street Road (between Caley and Saw Mill)
  • Malin Road
  • Brook Mawr Lane
  • Sunnys Way
  • Oak Hill Lane
  • Ivy Lane
  • Jeffrey Lane
  • French Road
  • Hansell Road
  • Wedgewood Circle
  • Butler Drive
  • Robbins Lane
  • Jeanette Drive
  • Fox Chase Circle
  • Tyson Road
  • Horton Road
  • Lewis Road
  • Caley Road

Attached is the hand-drawn map they sent to us.

If JP Mascaro is unable to collect your recycling today, please keep it out for collection on Friday.

Be sure to check out the Newtown Township Recycling Page to see all of the recycling information, maps and special events we offer you.

Finally, if you are not already signed up, we encourage you to join the NOTIFY ME service on the Newtown Township website.  You can choose what kinds of messages you wish to receive (and please pick "Public Works" as one of your options!).  Public Works always tries to update you whenever there is a recycling issue, schedule change or special event (and in different season to provide leaf collection, snow plowing, etc. updates) - and we do not send unnecessary messages.  Please consider availing yourself of this service.

Thank you for your efforts to recycle, and for your patience and understanding at this time while our vendor recovers from the flooding.
