Newtown Township Residential Recycling Collections scheduled for today in zone #1 (normally the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month) have been postponed until Friday, February 19th due to the snow storm.
As of last evening, JP Mascaro had intended to perform collections as usual today. However, early this morning they determined they needed to delay until Friday for safety reasons based on the updated weather forecast.
Residents in zone #1 who would normally have recycling collected today are asked to take your recycling carts in and place them back out for collection by 7:00am tomorrow, Friday, February 19th. Plowing operations may be slowed if they are left out all day today. Residents who live in zone #2 (2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month) are unaffected by this change, and will still have their recycling collected next Thursday as usual.
Thank you for your understanding and your patience. Please be careful during the storm today, and travel only if necessary.
