[ARCHIVED] AQUA Water Main Replacement at South Newtown Street Road (Route 252)

Please see the attached Letter to Customers from AQUA Pennsylvania regarding their installation of a new water main underneath South Newtown Street Road (Route 252) between Gradyville Road (in Newtown Township) and Cedar Grove Road (in Marple Township).

Key information from this letter includes:

Aqua Pennsylvania will begin the installation of 4,638 feet of new 12 and 8-inch ductile iron water main on South Newtown Street Road between Gradyville Road and Cedar Grove Road, Timberlake Road between South Newtown Street Road and Lakeside Lane in Marple Township and Newtown Township on Tuesday December 29, 2020.

The $1.1 million dollar project is part of our continuing infrastructure improvement program that replaced more than 38 miles of aging main in Delaware County.

Construction will generally take place weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. However, crews might need to work beyond 4 p.m. and on Saturdays in some cases.

Please be aware of this work, and plan your travels in the area accordingly.  Always be safe while travelling through a work zone.
