Key information from these letters includes:

Aqua Pennsylvania will replace some existing water mains in Newtown Township, Delaware County as part of their continuing infrastructure improvement program. The new 8-inch ductile iron water main will reduce the potential for main breaks and discolored water, and improve water flow in the area. Aqua replaced more than 50 miles of aging main in Delaware County to improve service reliability for customers in 2019. Their work will be performed on the following streets in Newtown Township in 2020:

  • · Caley Road between Newtown Street Road and Tyson Road
  • · Tyson Road between Caley Road and Horton Road
  • · Echo Valley Lane between Meadow Lane and a point in front of 345 Echo Valley Lane

Construction on the combined $648,000 project is scheduled to begin on January 20, 2020 with completion including road restoration expected in the summer. Aqua will have an inspector on the job each day to answer your questions.  Daily construction typically takes place between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Access will be provided for emergency, mail and trash services, as well as school buses. Residents will have access to their properties, but at times will need to enter from different directions due to changing work zones.

Aqua will have an inspector on the job each day to track progress and answer any questions you may have.

Please be aware of this work, and plan your travels in the area accordingly.  Always be safe while travelling through a work zone.  The letters below contain much additional information for the residents in those areas.
