Join us for a fascinating, gorgeous walk across Willistown Township's 55-acre Ashbridge Preserve! We'll start right at 9:00 AM, and luckily, we'll be guided by Lauren McGrath, Willistown Conservation Trust's Director of the Watershed Protection Program, and her team. They will take us across woodlands, fields, and two stepping-stone stream crossings! All the while they'll explain the restoration efforts that are underway along Ridley Creek, and the value of headwater streams in our region!

We'll stroll through some impressive, healthy tree plantings at the old Ashbridge Lake while Lauren shares lessons learned about the impact of land protection and restoration on water quality. Wildlife species are returning to the preserve, including Beavers and Freshwater Mussels!

The Willistown Conservation Trust supports a variety of research projects, including data from EnviroDIY sensor stations, monthly water chemistry sampling efforts, and diverse independent projects.

Come explore the many benefits of beech, tulip poplar, black walnut, shagbark hickory, hawthorn, ash, ironwood, and a variety of oak trees on our waterways - and learn how we can work together to improve the health of our local, precious sources of water!

Please wear hiking boots or sturdy sneakers with treads. A little bug spray wouldn't hurt either! It's still tick season in the woods.

We expect to cap attendance this time, because the parking lot is small, and parking is very limited. Please consider car pooling with friends!!
